Jan, a resident of Scottsdale, Arizona and Darlington, Pennsylvania, founded Jumet Financial and brings to you over thirty-one years of investment industry experience.

Prior to founding Jumet Financial, Jan most recently served as the Chief Compliance Officer of Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo, a Boston based investment firm managing over $100 billion in assets. Prior to joining GMO, he served on the Executive Management Committee of Babson Capital Management LLC.

In addition to his responsibilities in overseeing the firm’s business strategy and stewardship on the Executive Committee, Jan had overall responsibility for Babson Capital’s compliance program across the firm’s broad array of investment disciplines covering most all investment strategies and over $110 billion in assets under management.

Additionally, Jan served as the President of Babson Capital Securities Inc. a limited purpose broker/dealer. Jan joined Babson Capital from Mellon Institutional Asset Management (MIAM) in Boston where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Risk and Compliance Officer of MIAM, as well as Chief Compliance Officer of Mellon Institutional Funds and CEO of Mellon Funds Distributor.

The majority of Jan’s fourteen year career at Mellon was in the asset management business where he held various management and senior management positions in relationship management for institutional and high net worth clients, and in investment management sales and portfolio analysis roles for Mellon’s thirteen investment subsidiaries that managed equity, fixed, hedge, and alternative assets in numerous strategies and products.

Jan is registered with LPL Financial (Series 7, 24, & 63), a full service broker dealer and member of FINRA and SIPC, as well as Western Wealth Management (Series 65). Jan also holds various state insurance licenses for Life, Accident and Health, Long Term Care, Disability and Variable Annuities.

He is an alumnus of Kent State University, Kent Ohio with a B.B.A. in Finance, and Duquesne University, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a M.S. in Tax and a Juris Doctor. Jan was a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Bar Association and maintains his legal license with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

He is the Founder and Former Chairman of the Board of the Jumet Charitable Foundation, and has previously served as Chairman of the Board of Viatronix, Inc. and as a Board Member with the American Cancer Society in Beaver County, Western Pennsylvania.
